FCC downgrades Corpus Christi Class A TV stations to LPTV’s

The FCC has downgraded two Corpus Christi Class A TV stations to low power television stations.

KWDT-LP and KHCC-LP, both licensed to Corpus Christi, were both downgraded in late April for “apparent failure to make the required filing of quarterly FCC Form 398,” the Children’s Television Programming Report.

Minerva R. Lopez, licensee of KHCC, and Clark Ortiz, licensee of KWDT were both sent letters requiring that the information be provided within 30 days of the date of the letter, and cautioned that failure to provide the information could result in a change of the station’s status from Class A television to low power television.

Both licensees did not reply to the FCC inquires nor did either file any of the delinquent Form 398 reports and the FCC downgraded both to low power television stations.
