Broadcasters Mourn Loss of Dr. Bob Eubanks

TAB has learned that retired Texas Broadcast Educator Dr. Robert Eubanks passed away on Sept. 18 at his home in Colorado.

Eubanks was a longtime professor at Sam Houston State University.

Eubanks’ work to forge a real working relationship between educators and broadcasters is just one of his legacies. His former students are the other.

He retired from SHSU in 1994 and in tribute to him, the main control and production facility for the student-run Cable Channel 7 is named the Robert Eubanks Studio.

TAB presented Eubanks with the inaugural TAB Educator of the Year Award in 2002.
