posted on 2.06.2009
TAB?s FCC legal counsel, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, has issued a legal advisory outlining the requirements and implications of yesterday?s FCC Public Notice regarding procedures for the termination of analog service on or after Feb. 17.
MONDAY DEADLINE
Stations that intend to shut-off on Feb. 17 must alert the FCC by midnight on Monday, Feb. 9.
HOW TO NOTIFY FCC
The FCC has prepared a new form for this notification. The new form does not have a number because it is considered an "informal application."
This application must be filed using the FCC's electronic CDBS system. Once logged into CDBS, the form may be located by clicking on the "additional non-form filings" link.
At that point, the user should select the option for "notification of analog service."

This model was generated from the CDBS system given that the form is not available publicly on the FCC's website at this time.
