Broadcasters mourn loss of Gene Stanley

Gene Stanley, longtime owner/operator of KLVT Levelland, passed away on March 23. He was 89.

Stanley began his broadcasting career at KHBR Hillsboro and also worked at KBEC Waxahachie, KTEM Temple and KZEE Weatherford.

He managed KLVT Levelland for 31 years.

Funeral services will held at First Baptist Church in Levelland, Texas, at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 26, 2018. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Stanley requested that donations be made to the Gene and Fredda Stanley scholarship foundation at South Plains College.
