Broadcasters mourn loss of Gary Aycock

Gary (Mason) Aycock, longtime Longview broadcaster, passed away on April 1. He was 73.

Aycock was a popular on-air personality and original member of the KYKX-FM staff. He held many roles at the station - from on-air to sales to production.

Aycock helped with the original formation of the "Big Bass Classic" and the "Hands on a Hard Body" truck giveaway events.

He spent the majority of his career in East Texas - also working for KFRO, KOOI/KEBE and KZQX/KDOK.

A celebration of life memorial service under the family's direction will be held at First Assembly of God, 2900 N. 4th Street, Longview,
will be Thursday, April 5, at 1 pm, with Pastor Edgar Ayala officiating.

Interment at Memory Park Cemetery, 2823 E. Marshall Ave, Longview will follow at 2:45pm. A memorial guestbook may be signed at www.raderfh.com
