Broadcasters Mourn Loss of Fritz Weyerts, Jr.

Texas broadcasters are mourning the loss of longtime engineer Fritz Bill Weyerts, Jr.

He passed away Saturday, April 28 at the age of 75.

Weyerts spent the majority of his career in San Antonio, working as an engineer for KENS-TV (25 years) and later at KWEX-TV (20 years).

His career also included stops at KVLF Alpine, KVKM-TV Monahans and WOAI-TV San Antonio.

Services will be held Wednesday, May 2 at 1 pm at the Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel.
