DFW broadcast legend Ron Chapman, who for decades personified Radio in the state’s largest market and inspired legions of followers with memorable giveaways and on-air stunts, died Monday of natural causes at the age of 85.

Broadcasters across North Texas – current and retired – flooded TAB’s email inboxes with alerts sharing news of Chapman’s passing laden with admiration for a man many considered a “Radio God.”
