Broadcasters mourn loss of Borders

Longtime Texas broadcaster John Borders passed away on March 30. He was 79.

Borders began his career on-air at KBEC Waxahachie and continued to work at stations in Detroit, St. Louis, Pittsburgh and Dallas.

He owned and operated 36 stations in the Midwest and Southwest, including two in Dallas.

He was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2004.
