
Broadcasters mourn loss of Bill Bradford
posted on 12.10.2013Pioneer Texas Broadcaster Bill Bradford, owner/manager of KSST Sulphur Springs, passed away last night. He was 93.
Funeral arrangements are pending with West Oaks Funeral Home.
Bradford joined KSST in 1948, one year after the station went on the air.
Earlier this year, the Sulphur Springs city, county, hospital and school districts celebrated "Bill Bradford Appreciation Week."
TAB named him Pioneer of the Year in 1992 and the Texas Association of Broadcast Educators named him Broadcaster of the Year in 2012.
He was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2005.
