2024 TAB Board Elections Open June 7
posted on 5.09.2024- 10 Directors Up for Re-Election, 1 Open Seat
TAB’s annual Board of Directors election opens June 7 with a call for nominations to fill 11 of the 37 seats representing Radio and TV stations and other membership classes. The process ends with the announcement of results at the TAB Show in Austin Aug. 7-8.
Why so many seats?
Well, Texas is a big state with several different kinds of markets, so members established a system of ensuring leadership opportunities for stations in various market sizes. Plus, state law requires that each class of members be represented.
TAB’s Board elections are conducted electronically. The nominations window is June 7-24. The voting window is July 1-29.
There are 11 seats up for election, 10 of which have incumbents. One vacant seat has no incumbents (Large Market TV).
