Belo promotes Texas execs

The Belo Corp. recently promoted several Texas television executives.

Peter Diaz was named executive vice president/television operations. Diaz had served as senior vice president of Belo Corp. since January 2006 and as president/general manager of KHOU-TV Houston since 1999.

Susan McEldoon will replace Diaz at KHOU-TV. She joined the station in 2004 as director of sales and marketing.

In Dallas, Belo named Kathy Clements the new senior vice president/television operations. Clements, a former member of the TAB Board of Directors, has served as president/general manager of WFAA-TV Dallas-Fort Worth since 1999.

Mike Devlin takes over for Clements at WFAA-TV. He has served as the station's vice president/station manager since March 2005.  Devlin joined Belo in 1998 as executive news director for KHOU-TV Houston.
