April 1 Deadlines for TAB Awards, Scholarships

Texas Broadcast News Awards Ticket Sales
Tickets for TAB’s inaugural broadcast news awards are currently on sale.
The ceremony will be held in-person on Saturday, April 9 at the Westin Austin at the Domain.
Tickets are $75 each and include a networking reception as well as a plated dinner.
Sales close at 11:45 PM on Friday, April 1.
TAB Individual Leadership Awards
Nominations for TAB’s individual awards are due on Friday, April 1.
Awards include Pioneer and Broadcaster of the Year, the George Marti Award for Engineering Excellence as well as the Jason Hightower Awards for Broadcast Excellence.
The awards will be presented at the TAB2022 Convention & Trade Show, Aug. 3-4 at the JW Marriott Downtown.
TBEF Scholarship Deadline
Texas college or technical school students pursuing careers in engineering, marketing, business or journalism can apply for up to $29,000 in Texas Broadcast Education Foundation scholarships to be awarded for the 2022-23 school year.
The electronic application deadline is April 1.
Eight scholarships in the amount of $3,000 each are up for grabs, along with the $5,000 Ann Arnold Scholarship for juniors, seniors or graduate students focusing on broadcast journalism.
