2026 TAB Show: Winning Big in Sports & Business, Cutting Edge Tech

- Registration Open, TAB Board Elections in Play

Winning big in sports and business is making a huge play at the 2026 TAB Show, with UT Austin Athletic Director Chris Del Conte and some of the country’s most successful Radio operators on tap to share insights into managing talent across multiple teams, serving fragmented audiences and growing revenue streams in a rapidly shifting marketplace.

Registration is open for the second largest broadcast industry gathering in the country happening Aug. 5-6 at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock, where more than 100 of the industry’s top tech vendors and 1,200 local Radio and TV managers, sales teams, broadcast engineers and Radio programmers are set to convene.

Breakfast & Sports – Chris Del Conte, who’s led the University of Texas at Austin to four Directors’ Cup wins this decade for achieving the most success in collegiate athletics, will present the Breakfast Keynote.

“Station owners and managers are building, recruiting and managing multiple team leaders and talents even as the ground beneath them continually shifts – not unlike college sports - and I, for one, can’t wait to hear how one of the nation’s top sports executives manages through all that to achieve monumental wins,” said TAB Show Co-Chair Brian Purdy with Audacy.

Radio Gold Idea Exchanges – Two nationally recognized independent operators, Beth Mann with Edge Media Group in Kentucky and Tom McAuliffe with MyFMMedia.com in Massachusetts, are slated to lead separate conversations on the business practices and creative energy they’ve tapped to increase revenues and grow audiences, sharing and inviting practical ideas that Texas broadcasters can implement in their own markets.

Tech, Tech & More Tech – Several firms are joining the tech-heavy show floor for the first time, including EVS Broadcast Equipment, NextKast Radio Automation, and the MaxxKonnect Group, complementing the dozen content offerings on the agenda for station engineers and IT teams.

Sessions run from 2 PM on Aug. 5 to 5 PM on Aug. 6, with big breaks to allow tech teams ample time on the show floor, with topics ranging from “Scalable Podcast Studio Solutions for Broadcasters” and “RF Sweeping of Transmission Lines and Antennas” to “The NextGen TV Horizon” and “FCC Regulatory Update,” to name a few.

Voting Underway for Annual TAB Board Elections

In the usual summertime run-up to the Show, TAB members also have an opportunity to elect fellow broadcasters to fill 13 Radio, TV and other seats on the TAB Board of Directors.

Nominations concluded May 27 and on June 5 members started receiving emails from eBallot with links to final ballots listing the top two candidates for each open seat.  Voting ends July 6.
