Local broadcasters wrestling with shifting revenue streams, AI deployment strategies, novel and legacy technology platforms, and talent management challenges will discover paths to success on each front at the 2026 TAB Show Aug. 5-6 at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock.
Delegates will encounter two dozen programs over both days showcasing leaders in their fields and actionable, real-world insights, as well as more than 100 of the industry’s top technology and service vendors.
Here’s a sneak peek at just some of the offerings:
Revenue – Seth Resler’s “Smarter Revenue Model for Broadcasters” will show how to build a community-driven strategy that increases audience loyalty, strengthens advertiser value, and opens new revenue streams, while “Winning Local Revenue in a Digital-First World” is the theme of 5.5 hours of content delivered by Gordon Borrell which includes three interactive 90-minute roundtable exercises.
AI Opportunities – Three separate offerings explore strategies for deploying AI in various ways. Jeff Schmidt covers the revenue angle with “AI, AI, - OH!,” while engineers Kirk Harnack and Fred Morton explore “AI Real-World Applications for Broadcast Operations,” and one of Radio’s top programmers, Phil Becker, shares an invaluable digital content plan in “Improving Radio’s Perception Problem in an AI/Digital On-Demand World.”
Radio Programming – National programming legend Jimmy Steal homes in on the key to success in Radio with “Talent – Radio’s Only Competitive Advantage,” while Juan Galdamez shows how 300,000 Texas vehicles equipped with DTS AutoStage leverages big data to create new opportunities for Radio in “Dayparts & Dashboards: Navigating Radio’s Big Data Moment.”
Tech, Tech & More Tech – In addition to the tech-heavy show floor, TV & Radio engineers, IT teams and managers can tap nearly a dozen separate programs ranging from SNMP and “Small Problems, Big Savings: Proactive Broadcast Tower Maintenance,” to “Next Generation STL Options” and “C-Band Transition and Hybrid Distribution Strategies.”
