Texas Public Information Act: Webinar

TAB is offering a FREE webinar on Thursday, Oct. 5 (11-12 pm CT).

Attorney Laura Prather, will review what actions the 85^th Texas Legislature took (and didn’t take) to revise the Texas Public Information Act as well as other state laws affecting newsgathering.

This free webinar will cover:

• recent court decisions TAB and other groups tried to address in the recent session and how they are affecting newsgathering in Texas
• what changes the Legislature enacted that help newsrooms 
• what changes lawmakers didn’t pass that are hindering newsgathering
• how newsrooms can help the cause of governmental transparency in the interim committee work leading up to the 2019 Texas Legislature
