Lessons Learned During the Pandemic

In this webinar radio consultant Andy Meadows and special guest speaker Jon Miller, VP Audience Insights at Nielsen will discuss how listening habits changed during the pandemic, the effect that had on various formats and ways to adjust programming to address those changing habits.

Plus, how to refocus post pandemic and utilize some of the creative solutions stations came up with during the lockdown going forward.

About the Presenters

DFW-based radio consultant and author Andy Meadows has been in radio his entire life. He grew up in a small market radio station his family owned in the Texas Hill Country.

Recently, Meadows spent 16 years at LKCM Radio Group in Fort Worth, the final 13 as the group’s Operations Director growing some of the highest digital stats in the coAndy Meadowsuntry.

He’s published two radio eBooks, "From Broadcast to Podcast: Applying Radio Rules to Podcasting” and “7 Habits of High Performing Radio Personalities.”

He's the owner and creator of Solo Show Prep, a talent coach with Tracy Johnson Media Group and consults a handful of his own clients on programming, digital, operations and sales. He also publishes a free weekly blog on his consulting website www.radiostationconsultant.com and hosts Radio Station Consultant the Podcast.


Vice President, Audience Insights at Nielsen, Jon Miller oversees the entirety of Nielsen’s interactions, insights and tools designed for radio programmers and content creators. 

He’s been with Nielsen for nearly twenty years working with both radio and local TV clients, and worked in the trenches during the PPM rollout in the late 2000s when he was embedded with one of the industries’ largest broadcasters on behalf of what was then Arbitron. 

Jon has previously worked for both iHeartMedia & Westwood One and began his career as an overnight board-operator in Washington, DC.

He holds a journalism degree from the University of Maryland and lives and works from his home in Vermont.
