FOX44/KWKT is seeking a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter to cover sports across all our platforms. This is the opportunity to cover Baylor University, home of championship football, basketball, and some of the best high school student/athletes in Texas.

The successful candidate will enterprise, research, and present sports stories with an emphasis on local sports. Solid news judgment, strong writing, dynamic storytelling and presentation skills, online and social media skills, and technical ability are critical. Must be able to shoot, write, and edit stories on a daily basis. Must be a motivated team player willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to meet deadlines.

Prefer a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, and or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Priority will be given to candidates with sports reporting experience. Candidate shall have comprehensive knowledge of sports and sports related activities. Must display fluency in English - written and verbal communication. Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license. Pre-employment background check required.

Must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions with limited supervision that may impact results of station and/or co-workers, work in close proximity to others, work outdoors occasionally in all weather conditions, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. In addition, must be able to lift, set up and operate equipment weighing up to 45 pounds, and to handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls. Repetitive movements are required. Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
