Job Description

Univision Radio Houston has an immediate opening for a part-time (multi-market) afternoon show producer. Duties include but are not limited to editing segments, sending segment to other markets, responsibility to airing correctly, screening phone calls for the show, researching broadcast topics, protecting the station’s FCC license, assisting in the development of on-air promotions, providing creative input on broadcast elements, overseeing live remote broadcasts, contributing to social networking and website updates and other duties required by management.


 Job Responsibilities

Produce, write, co-write and edit creative show segments.

Ability to do voice-overs and maintain date bank of voice-overs.

Ability to interact professionally with clients and staff.

Adapts to different situations, and assist others as needed.

Screen callers.

Load audio on automation system as instructed.

Performs other tasks as directed, finishes projects under deadlines.

Available to work Monday through Friday, regular and timely attendance.


Required Skills & Experience

Ability to Operate SAW, Pro Tools and/or Audio Vault, and other production equipment.

Experience with Adobe Audition (audio editing, looping and sampling.).

Three to Five years of production and on-air experience.

Requires knowledge of the Hispanic community and traditions.

Must be PC Proficient – Word and Outlook software packages.

Must attend all scheduled meetings.

Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment work place.

Requires good verbal and written skills.

Requires good interpersonal skills.

High School Graduate or equivalent experience in field.

3 + year on-air experience with similar job responsibilities and requirements.



Desired Skills & Experience

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Ability to communicate in Spanish, able to read and write in Spanish.


Eligibility Requirements

Must be willing to work from office in Houston, TX.

High school graduate or GED and/or related experience.

Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
