Job Description

KAGS-TV, Bryan, Texas, TEGNA Media Inc. Company, and NBC Affiliate, has an opening for an Account Executive to join our sales team. We’re looking for a driven, solutions-based seller eager to represent our vast range of broadcast and digital product offerings.

WHAT WE NEED:

-Utilizes knowledge of the industry, the competition, and the client to develop and execute client strategies
-Develops new and incremental revenue by securing appointments with local businesses to discuss our interactive, digital and television products
-Retains and expands existing key accounts through insight proposals, proof of performance, and maximizing station assets
-Provides exceptional customer service to new and existing advertisers
-Build strong relationships with existing and new customers especially in the Bryan/College Station area.
-A person that knows Bryan/College Station and a willingness to be involved in business and civic organizations.
-Communicates effectively with internal clients and internal personnel
-Positively and professionally represent KAGS and TEGNA at all times
-Knowledge of all facets of digital sales and marketing. Product knowledge must include: Targeted display, Social, SEO & OTT. Digital sales ability/knowledge a plus

JOB REQUIREMENTS

-College degree with minimum 2-3 years' media sales experience preferred
-Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate with decision makers at all levels
-Proven relationship-building and influencing skills required
-Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced environment in office or at home.
-Ability to efficiently organize workload and workflow is critical
-Strong written and communication skills
-Ability to work well with an internal support team
-Strong desire to learn and become entrenched in the ever-evolving digital marketplace
-A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and dependable vehicle required
-Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-Wide Orbit and Salesforce experience a plus
