KGBT-TV CBS 4, in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, has an exciting opportunity for a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ). Your responsibilities as an MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned. Love and have a passion for covering breaking news stories. A minimum of 2 years reporting experience is required. KGBT is a market leader in digital technology and information. This means that live reporting on social media, and television is something we take very seriously. Our station is equipped with the latest and most up to date digital equipment and we are the only station in the market with a Drone team.

Sharp news judgment
Outgoing personality
Excellent videography, interviewing, and writing skills
Bilingual in Spanish is extremely helpful
The ability to work well independently
The ability to network and make contacts within the community, as well as with public information officers, city leaders and community organizations is essential
Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record


Experience with live shots is required
Experience with Live-U is a plus
