Emmis Austin Radio is a branch of Emmis Communications with a cluster of seven radio stations in north Austin including:  KLBJ-AM (590), KLBJ-FM (93.7), KGSR (93.3), KROX (101.5), KBPA (103.5), KLZT (107.1), and Latino 102.7.

We are currently seeking a Digital Content & Morning Show Producer for Regional Mexican Station, 107.1 LA Z.  The Digital Content & Morning Show Producer will be responsible for writing captivating stories for, engaging with listeners and fans on social media, and overall promoting the 107.1 La Z brand. The candidate must have excellent writing skills with a comprehensive understanding of blogging, social media, Internet marketing, SEO, content development & link building. An interest in Banda, Norteño, Cumbia, Ranchero and Corridos music, Mexican culture, as well as Spanish-language fluency is required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintains brand cohesiveness on the stations website and social media through the strategy put in place by the Programming Director.
Responsible for all Social Media postings on behalf of the station including ''live'' posts as well as programmed posts for Facebook, Instagram and other networks.
Coordinate & execute blog campaigns to promote lifestyle related messages that increase awareness and drive traffic.
Maintains and interact with fans and listeners through active social media posts and campaigns.
Respond to listener's online comments and opinions, according to the guidance from Programming Director, to always secure brand integrity.
Verifies that station talent complies with the station's strategy and company's best practices for online social platforms and will report any discrepancies to Programming Director and Digital Content Director.
Assure that the station website mirror the format, target audience and branding strategy of the radio station.
Suggest and create exclusive online content that can drive radio listeners to online assets.
Work with the product team to create and achieve content and social media goals for the brand.
Research topics relevant to the day’s news and what’s new in regional Mexican culture, entertainment, and lifestyle in general.
Create content and blog from the studio as well as from events with behind the scenes content about the studio/show including writing recaps, uploading photos, audio clips, and short videos.
Operating the main control board while producing live programming.
Follow and enforces FCC regulations, station and company polices, including implementing station's/state's EAS procedures.
Maintains and builds a positive and cooperative attitude within the station.
Work night and weekend shifts as-needed.
Work in a fast paced environment, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Travel to events around Austin and the surrounding areas as-needed.
Other duties assigned as-needed.

Spanish-language/English fluency is required.
Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Snap Chat, Instagram, etc.) a plus.
3 years of radio broadcast experience or online content production and editing. Combination of both is a plus.
Experience with operating audio console board, digital automation equipment, and remote broadcasting equipment.
Proven track record of successfully writing quality articles.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business' various types of content.
Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
Superior communication, questioning, listening skills.
Ability to anticipate next steps, identify problems and provide solutions
Strong team player.
Deep passion for regional Mexican music, culture, online marketing/networking and the power it has to change the way business is done.
Knowledge of Flash and HTML5 programming a plus.
Video capturing and encoding for Internet a plus.
Valid driver’s license and state mandated auto insurance required, and must be able to provide personal transportation to cover assigned station events.
