POSITION SUMMARY:

KERA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Video Producer to join our talented Creative Services team. The ideal candidate is passionate about visual storytelling, dedicated to serving the North Texas community, and thrives in a creative and collaborative environment. This role is pivotal in capturing and sharing KERA’s unique story and community impact through high-quality video content across various platforms.

This is a full-time position requiring deep experience that welcomes creativity and offers opportunities for growth and professional development. This position is classified as FLSA exempt, is not eligible for overtime and reports to a Director on the Creative Services team.

  • Oversee video projects from start to completion, including storyboarding, scheduling interviews, shooting and editing.  

  • Work closely with the Director of Creative Production and Creative Director to assist in a variety of productions, from live performance videos to documentary content as well as conceptualizing new, exciting content initiatives for the North Texas audience. 

  • Support marketing and promotional needs by shooting and creating stock video archives from our various events, initiatives, members, donors, supporters and community engagements. 

  • Capture compelling footage at station events.  

  • Edit promos, sizzle reels and powerful narrative videos that show our audience who we are and tell the stories of the diverse communities we serve.  

  • Work across departments to accomplish station-wide vision for marketing campaigns. 

  • Assist with motion graphics, daily turns as advertising support as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in video production 

  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite – Premiere Pro and After Effects are essential to this role 

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects 

  • Enthusiasm for creating content with audience in mind  

  • Enthusiasm for collaboration and working well with others 

  • Ability to absorb and incorporate feedback from stakeholders across the organization 

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and efficiency 

  • Excellent time management skills  

  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as needed and assigned

  • Passion for public media  

  • Experience in marketing, advertising, media or nonprofit environment.  

SALARY RANGE 

$60,000 - $68,000 annually, depending on experience

LOCATION: 

We expect that this position will work out of our Dallas office at least 50% of the time.
