Job Description

CBS Austin has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lifestyle Show Host.

Responsibilities Include:

• Professionally host our Lifestyle Show by delivering information that is clear and concise for viewers, while providing appropriate unscripted content and engaging interviews
• Working knowledge of the news and events in the local community
• Engaging viewers through posts on social media and station websites
• Participate in frequent public appearances and community events
• Contacting/booking and selling client segments
• Excellent interpersonal skills; develops and maintains open and trusting working relationships with people at all levels of the organization
• Excellent judgment in prioritizing multiple stories and meeting deadlines
• Demonstrated organizational skills and must be flexible to multi-task, shift focus, and re-prioritize as the situation dictates
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and have demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and to make independent decisions
• Excellent written communication skills
• Be proficient with newsroom systems such as iNews
• Producing/Shooting and editing experience is preferred
• Previous anchoring and/or reporting experience is required
