Ann Arnold Memorial Service set

The Memorial Service for TAB President Ann Arnold is set for Saturday, Sept. 22 at 10 am in the Senate Chamber at the Texas State Capitol.

There will be a reception immediately following the event in the Lieutenant Governor's Reception room (directly behind the Senate Chamber).

Parking/Transportation/General Information

• The doors to the Capitol do not open until 9 am; the Service is set to start at 10 am
• The Senate Chamber is located on the 2^nd floor on the EAST side of the Capitol complex
• There are metal detectors at every entrance; guests need to plan their time accordingly
• There are metered parking spots on all the streets around the Capitol complex
• The Capitol Parking Garage is the closest (entrance on 12^th St., between San Jacinto and Trinity Streets); Parking fees: free for the first 2 hours; $1/half hour thereafter (max daily charge: $8) More information
• TAB has arranged for a shuttle bus to run between the Sheraton -> La Quinta -> Capitol; the bus will run a continuous route between 9-10 am, and then again from 11:30-2 pm

In lieu of flowers, plans are underway for a fitting tribute to be announced at a later date.
