New TAB legal guide now available
January 9, 2008
Members can now download TAB’s newly-updated Guide to Political Broadcasting.
The guide was written by David Oxenford, a partner with TAB Associate Member law firm Davis Wright Tremaine LLP.
The publication addresses pre-election considerations that can have an impact on stations’ activities during the political broadcasting season.
It also covers the specifics of the political broadcasting rules ”“ which candidates get access to the stations, issues about content and treating candidates fairly, how much can stations can charge political advertisers, what kind of disclosure must be made to political advertisers, and what kind of public records must be maintained by the station.
The guide is available ONLY to TAB members who have registered with TAB for a username & password.
