Political Broadcasting Webinar

December 3, 2009
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Social Media in Campaigns
Speaker: Stephen Warley, LocalBroadcastSales.com

The FCC’s political window for the March primary opens Jan. 16.

Many believe it will be a busy election season with a looming battle royale for governor and a special election for U.S. Senate.

There are down-ballot races that will come into play as well if (or when) Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison resigns her seat to campaign for governor.

Is your station prepared for the FCC’s requirements on political ad rates, recordkeeping and content?   Does your staff know the restrictions and pitfalls of  third party political ads?   What are the best strategies to stem the flow of campaign ad dollars to social media?

TAB is presenting two workshops in December to get stations up to speed.

The interactive webinars will cover the FCC’s political rules and provide strategies to keep political ad dollars on broadcast.

The FCC regulatory seminar also will have a limited live audience in Austin.

Bobby Baker, the FCC’s chief of political programming and David Oxenford of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, will be on hand and online Dec. 2 to explain the FCC’s political rules.

Stephen Warley of LocalBroadcastSales.com will present a follow-up webinar on Dec. 3 to arm stations with strategies to combat the flow of political ad dollars to social media.

Register today for TAB’s only political broadcasting workshops for the 2010 election year!
