BORDER MEDIA Radio in Austin Texas is looking for a Broadcast Engineer for its five radio stations.
Responsibilities include:
?Correspond with the FCC on EBS related matters
?Operate, maintain and repair studio and transmitter technical equipment
?Report weekly to the Corporate VP of Engineering
?Perform required FCC measurements regarding equipment performance, monitoring points, and field strength
?Maintain all tower sites and establish routine maintenance procedures and schedules
?Routine IT repair and maintenance
?Equipment wiring and installation as required and establish spare parts inventory
?Ensure that all broadcast equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with all applicable regulations

Required Skills / Education & Certification:
?General Class FCC license or equivalent, SBE certification preferred
?Associate level degree in Electronics or equivalent
?Five to seven years experience in broadcast maintenance
?Must be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds
?Knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations
?Valid Driver?s License with an acceptable driving record
